Five Generations of Dedication
The Bennett family's rich construction legacy began in 1911 with George Bennett, a licensed plumber whose commitment to quality set the foundation for generations to come. His son, Albert, immersed himself in the trade from a young age, skillfully guiding the business through the economic shifts of the 1930s and 1940s.
The third generation, Neil Bennett, joined the family business in 1949, starting his journey as a roofer and carpenter. After years of hands-on experience framing homes, Neil officially founded Bennett Builders in 1960, specializing in new home construction. After two decades of success building up the suburbs of Greater Cleveland, the 1980s marked a further expansion of remodeling and commercial divisions.
As the company flourished, so did the family's active involvement. Neil's children, Don, Terry and Debbie, who had contributed part-time during their teenage years, joined the company full-time in the 1970s. Both Don and Terry proudly served as presidents of local building associations, further cementing the family's dedication to the industry. Today, the fifth generation—Don and Terry's sons, Tim, Mark, and Dan—are carrying on this proud tradition. After gaining valuable experience through summer work in their teenage and college years, they officially began their construction careers in the early 2000s.
